Sai FREE 2023 Tax Return Contest: Terms and Conditions

1. Contest Organizer

The “Contest – Win Free Tax Filing for 2023” contest (“Contest”) is organized by Saiwala Inc, hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer.”

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to self-employed or freelance artists, who are legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, are not required to file sales tax, are not incorporated, and are individual tax filers (i.e. do not file with partners, common-in-law, or spouse).  Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Organizer are not eligible to participate.

3. Contest Period

The Contest begins on Aug 11th at 12:01am EST and ends on September 30, 2023, at 6:00pm EST (the “Contest Period”).

4. How to Enter

To enter the Contest, participants must:

– Fill out Meta Instant form with: full name, email address, phone number, primary artistic practice, and response to tax questions

OR

– send an email to hey@sai.cx with the following information:

What is your primary creative practice?

A list of ALL following statements which apply to you:

1. A) I have self-employed income
2. B) I live in Québec or will have lived in Québec in 2023
3. C) I have a GST or HST number
4. D) I am incorporated
5. E) I file taxes with my partner

Each completed entry as outlined above will count as one entry into the Contest. Participants may submit multiple entries, but only one entry per person will be eligible to win.

5. Prize

The prize consists of free tax filing services for the tax year of 2023 (January – December), which will be filed between February to April 2024, offered by Saiwala Inc, only if all relevant information is provided in a timely manner. The prize can be exchanged for $300 cash or a gift card on the discretion of Saiwala inc. This prize is non-transferable.

6. Winner Selection

The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place within 30 days after the Contest ends.

7. Winner Notification

The selected winner will be notified by email within 14 days of the draw date. The winner must respond within 7 days of the notification, providing their contact details and confirming their eligibility. Failure to respond within the specified time will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner will be selected.

8. Prize Redemption

The winner will receive instructions on how to redeem the prize. The free tax filing services for the tax year 2023 will be provided by Saiwala Inc or an affiliate partner.

9. Publicity

By entering the Contest, participants agree to allow the Organizer to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without further compensation or consent. By entering this contest the contestants agree to join the Sai waitlist and newsletter and can remove themselves at any time.

10. General Conditions

The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with the Contest rules, or for any reason deemed necessary. The Organizer is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected entries. The Organizer’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

11. Privacy

By participating in the Contest, participants agree to the Organizer’s Privacy Policy, available on the Organizer’s official website (click here).

12. Limitation of Liability

The Organizer is not responsible for any errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, or defects in connection with the Contest.

13. Governing Law

The Contest and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
